This book is a collection of 15 tunes for the flute headjoint only, written exclusively in graphic notation. The idea is to bring a little more fun at the very beginning of learning this instrument, as well as allowing more time to be spent on the headjoint, while keeping the students' curiosity for the flute.
At the same time, some basic concepts of rhythm and sound are introduced through the tunes.
At the beginning, the tunes are shorter and simpler, where 2 to 3 different sounds are combined. Later on, the tunes get a little bit more challenging where the student needs to combine more types of sounds, like sliding, but also do simple phrasing and bring character to the tune.
At the end, the student can create their own headjoint tune and write it down, as well as add little drawings in the theme of her/his creation.
The collection is meant to be used as an additional material to any method book for flute beginners.
